• Erik Jones - found speed at end (overall Legacy Motor Club struggled)
• Hocevar - bad final pit stop ...great race. Worked with Crw Chief Luke Lambert at the end of 2023, they seem to have continued their success. Spire is looking good.
• Ty Gibbs - great recovery from bad pits. Fastest JGR Toyota?
• Noah Gragson - good run, good restart at end. Worries about Crew Chief Drew Bickensderfer at Phoenix.
• Does JGR have elite speed? They were in striking position at the end and did not strike.
• Ryan Blaney was close, but Larson was too fast.
• Ross Chastain - good recovery, but a 2 tire stop at the end inflated his finish

• 3 #71 24th up the track with possible damage to suspension after contact with the wall.  #5 takes the lead
• 10 #20 18th slow on front stretch with flat right rear tire
• 11 Caution for #20 - teams take note - take it easy w/ low air pressure

DFS NASCAR Picks: RCR and Kaulig Racing.

In four super-speedway races at the Atlanta Psuedo-Speedway (credit to @rotodoc), the RCR and Kaulig Chevys have been dominant. This shouldn't be a surprise. Over the last several years, both teams have excelled at super speedways. These teams have a technical alliance and share the same campus. Kaulig is notorious for trimming out their cars. They win poles at intermediate tracks and often struggle in dirty air. The pure speed in these cars has led to a significant advantage at Daytona, Talladega, and Atlanta.

But do you know the closers? Who runs the best win it matters? Which drivers push it during the final laps? They turn a top-20 finish in a top-10 or better.

The Fantasy NASCAR Spreadsheet has this data.

The drivers that gained the most positions during the last 10 green-flag laps of each super speedway race in 2023 were Christopher Bell and Tyler Reddick.

North Wilkesboro All-Star Race DFS NASCAR Data ...thinking aloud

Is the 2023 North Wilkesboro race a worthwhile data point for the L.A. Clash? By Saturday evening, there will be plenty of weekend data, and the correlating track data will be pushed aside — right or wrongly. I would not get married to LA practice/qualifying data, or swear allegiance to game theory (leverage, ownership, sims, small windows to build lineups).

Look at the data. Pick the data points that you like. Build your own lineups. Do your own thing. But what do I know? I'm just a small town pizza lawyer. I'm not a NASCAR tout. It's just me. A guy building useful spreadsheets. My twitter feed isn't screenshots. There's no website affiliation for me to promote. Just a man and a spreadsheet.

I'm Back - Fantasy NASCAR Spreadsheets return in 2024

Fantasy NASCAR needs data. It's fun to play DFS NASCAR with spreadsheets that contain historical results and practice laps.

I considered releasing all of the tools for free and letting people do it themselves. I've considered this before. I never do it because you won't do it. You don't want to spend five hours scraping each week. You don't want to spend another five hours updating DFS NASCAR spreadsheets.

I like you people, so I'll do it for you. I don't like you too much, so I'll charge.

You can pay for a weekend or pay for the month. Just like the old days.
