DFS NASCAR patreons have access to +20 pages of USFL notes (including defense notes) and a simple spreadsheet. The sheet will evolve and I'll add an Optomizer and Projections in the future. I'm not going to try to project this week, so no need for an optomizer yet. Enjoy.

DFS MLB Sheet included ...and USFL

There is a daily MLB spreadsheet in the folder with a bunch of wild stats. I'll keep up with if if there is demand. It has projections and all of the in-depth fantasy baseball stats that the experts use.

Also, I am experimenting with a USFL sheet. I am currently putting more time into researching players (my notes are in the folder), but when I get a chance, I'll cook up an optimizer for USFL.

NASCAR Tire Wear Track Comparison Graphic

I originally posted this on May 1, 2018.

https://www.race4theprize.com/2018/05/nascar-tire-wear-track-comparison.html

I'll repost it, so it's at the top of the blog:

Atlanta was repaved (2021) after this graphic was created.

Original Source:

Since this graphic was created in 2018, you can imagine that all of the bars above have gotten larger.

Phil tweeted about tracks, so that reminded me to repost this. Shout out and credit to Phil: https://twitter.com/RaceSheetsDFS/status/1496584517636743177

DFS NASCAR Tip for Auto Club (Fontana)

At some point I'll pull back on these freebies, but I'll give this one out because...

  • A. Other content producers have to acknowledge my genius and give me credit for this revelation, and that's free advertisement.
  • B. They rip off my genius, but someone in their chat catches them. I win two fold. I get the advertisement and they live the rest of their lives as shameful thieves.
  • C. They ignore my genius altogether, and they look like inferior content providers.

Auto Club (I prefer Fontana) is the first low-downforce, high-horsepower intermediate track race with the now standard impound format. This means that teams practice, qualify and race in the same setup. This became the norm in the Cup Series in 2020, but that was a different package.

The impound format significantly influenced race results. Some teams would trim out too much or add too much downforce, but in a high-downforce, low-horsepower package there was not a lot of room for adjustment. In the Next Gen car, the window is much wider. Teams can trim out more or lean more toward downforce. So what?

It's possible that the teams that qualify inside the top 10 will be way too loose in racing conditions, and the best cars during the race will be terrible during qualifying.

TLDR: Stack in the back. Fontana could be a mini-Daytona build, and it used to be (I'll blog about this phenomenon later this week or podcast it).

  • D. I look like a jerk for this post, but I also don't care.

DFS NASCAR Auto Club (Fontana) — Fantasy NASCAR Spreadsheet

Early week NASCAR betting thoughts for Fontana. Love Larson this week. Bowman and Truex also stand out. If we get wrecks and cautions in stage 3, and Fontana returns to the shootout finish trend that has disappeared over the last several seasons, then I am intrigued by Chase Briscoe as a long shot. I will write more about this in my free rankings and best bets articles at DK Nation. Check them out.

There is a ton of content on my YouTube page and more on the way.

NASCAR Xfinity Series Bets for Daytona 2022

Since the Xfinity race is the only sporting event on Saturday night, I was able to convince the producers at The Sweat on @DKLive, or on YouTube, to talk about the NASCAR Xfinity Series at Daytona

Here are my notes from the Xfinity Segment:

  • Landon Cassill +2000 — He's always been in junk equipment …first time EVER he’s in a good car. Not only is it a good car… it’s a Kaulig Car — they dominate at Plate tracks. Justin Haley won 4 times, Chastain twice, and Allmendinger has a handful of Top 5s for Kaulig.
  • Myatt Snider at +2500 —  Jordan Anderson Trucks finished 2nd in the last two Daytona races, and fifth is Xfinity race Talladega last fall. Snider finished seventh and eighth at Daytona last season, and his two best finishes in trucks — second and third place finishes at Talladega.
  • Austin Hill +2000 — In a quality car for RCR. Hill wont the 2019 Truck race at Daytona

Please tune in every weekday at 11am to see my smoking hot takes or watch the replay on YouTube.

ALSO... please check out my NASCAR Xfinity DFS article for Daytona at DK Nation.

NASCAR Truck Series Bets for Daytona 2022

Since the Truck race is the only sporting event on Friday night, I was able to convince the producers at The Sweat on @DKLive, or on YouTube, to talk NASCAR Trucks today.

Here are my notes for the Truck Segment:

  • Jesse Little at +20,000 — longest odds on the board. This is a mistake… he’s driving for Young’s Motorsports and they've won two of the the last three Talladega races.
  • Lawless Allen +10,000 —  Niece motorsports has fallen off over the last two seasons, but they can still compete at a plate track.
  • Timmy Hill +10,000 — tons of plate experience… quality truck…This truck finished 2nd at Talladega last fall with his brother driving.
  • Spencer Boyd +10,000 — former Talladega winner for Young’s motorsports.

Please Tune in 11am (NASCAR will be the final segment around 11:45am) - you can watch the replay on YouTube.

ALSO... please check out my NASCAR TRUCKS DFS article for Daytona at DK Nation. If it gets enough clicks, then it will become a regular piece. It's up to you!!!

DFS NASCAR Picks — Daytona Duels 2022

Duel No. 1

  • Justin Haley — Kaulig likes victory lane.
  • Kurt Busch — Michael Jordan likes trophies.
  • Penske — Blaney and Cindric working together.
  • Kaz Grala — Go or go home. May not be a homerun, but will likely be more aggressive than most of the field, and that should nab him enough points to be optimal.

Duel No. 2

  • Stack JGR —Three Bs: Busch, Bell and Bubba will be the most popular based on PD. Consider leaning towards Truex and Hamlin.
  • Harvick — On one hand, they need to play it safe because of the backup situation. At the same time, the lack of parts has resulted in a slow car. Harvick needs to find out what he has tonight. Why take it easy to just suck on Sunday?
  • Burton and Logano combo
  • Biffle will be the popular punt. I'm fine with that. Timmy Hill doesn't have the speed but can work if these guys lose their minds.
