How will the 2019 Package race at Fontana?
Here we are again, guessing what a race will look like in the 2019 NASCAR Hid-Lop package (high downforce, low horsepower). The iRacing series ran this package at Fontana on Tuesday night, and it looked like a Daytona race. For the first 10 to 15 laps, drivers ran side-by-side in a pack. As the tires fell off, the racing morphed into a single file, almost bumper-to-bumper snake that stretched across the track. Restarts were bonkers. Especially, at the end. The last 25 laps were cautions and restart wrecks.
